REVIEW NOTES
Cigar Observations:
This cigar has a dark brown wrapper. The wrapper is very oily and just looks absolutely delicious. The seam is pretty much invisible, blending into the veins, which are small. The band is attractive. This cigar is pretty solid with no soft spots.
Pre-light:
The foot is giving off the aroma of dirt and earth. I clipped this stogie with my Palio cutter. The pre-light draw is a little snug. I gently toasted the foot with my CI Lotus Laser torch.
First Half:
The flavor starts with wood and pepper spice. It is not black pepper but more like chili pepper. It causes a warming sensation in your mouth. The retrohale gives dark roasted nuts. The finish is long and dry with light nuts. The draw has just a little bit of resistance. Three puffs gives me lots of dense smoke. The body is medium. The ash is light and holds on for a good inch. The burn is nice and even.
Second Half:
During the second half I am getting more wood and pepper. As I progress through this smoke the flavor stays the same but gets stronger as I get closer to the end. The burn and draw are still going without any problems. The finish is still dry with natural tobacco spice.
Closing:
Overall this is a great smoke at a very reasonable price. I picked these up at my local B & M, which is technically an indian reservation, for under four bucks and you might find them for as much as six. The flavors are consistent with wood, nuts and mostly pepper spice. This one is always on my favorite list.
