So I admit it, I am a Doc fan-boy. I will usually go out and pick up a few of the sticks he reviews on his podcast every few weeks. Hey there are lots of choices out there and why not take the opinion from a expert :) I headed down to my local B&M for my weekly haul and this one was one I have been excited to try. Look and Feel: I had to say before I even picked up the stick I was wowed by the box it came in, very sleek and cool looking! Same goes for the band, the white and lime green really are eye catching. The wrapper remind me of a coffee with heavy amounts of cream in it. Light brown that resembled a French oak. Only one major vein running down the side of my stick but besides that its slightly oily and smooth. On the feel a bit firm around the head but the rest composes of perfect resistance. Cutter: Xikar Scissors Lighter: Zippo Z-Plus First Half: Wow, this is loaded with wood right of the light. I mean there isn't just one kid of wood either we are talking cedar, oak, and dare I say even a slight pine flavor? Smooth not hot cinnamon mixed with some vanilla are on the retrohale almost reminding me like a Christmas spice cookie. Burn is even and going well with no runners or cracks etc. Second Half: Spice kicks up a tiny bit showing some red pepper and faint notes of wasabi peanuts. As I get closer to the finish more wood comes through and even something resembling lightly salted peanuts. Man I feel like my taste buds are all over the place today either that or Im hungry haha. Overall a nice smoke, nothing to blow you out of your seat but it was flavorful and well constructed. Price wasn't too bad at just around $7. Id say this is a fairly medium smoke that could be enjoyed just about anytime but I chose to enjoy mine mid-morning with some local roasted coffee.

Smoke time 80 minutes
