REVIEW NOTES

Cigar Observations: This cigar has a medium brown wrapper that is oily and has a couple medium and small veins. Construction looks nice with near invisible seam, nicely formed cap and supple to the touch. There are no hard or soft spots. I really like the band on this one, second to the Camacho Liberty. The red and black on the band is very nice. Pre-light: The foot has the aroma of sweet hay. I clipped the head of this stogie with my Xikar Xi cutter. The pre-light draw is a little bit tight. I gently toasted the foot with my Xikar Genesis torch. First Half: The flavor starts out with a cedar wood, lightly roasted nuts and an almost sweetness in the background. The flavor is very smooth and all the components really blend well together. The retrohale has a strong cedar and pepper spice. The finish is long and creamy with just a touch of dryness to it. The body is medium, strength is mild and flavor is medium full. The draw is a little firm, however two to three puffs gives plenty of smoke. The smoke is dense and very easy to retrohale. The burn is a little wavy but by no means a problem. The ash is light grey, compact and holds on for about an inch. Second Half: For the second half the flavor has not really changed. It is still mostly cedar wood, roasted nuts and pepper spice in the background. There is also a slight coffee flavor to it. The body is still medium and the flavor is full. The draw and burn are still the same with no problems. Closing: The verdict on this stogie is that I enjoyed it very much. It is not a complex smoke but very enjoyable none the less. Flavor is nice cedar wood, roasted nuts, pepper spice and coffee. This is a very balanced cigar with a tasty finish. I would highly recommend this smoke to anyone. It is very approachable.
